Jason consults from the Essendon clinic
Jason is a strength and conditioning coach and sports scientist with experience across elite, sub-elite, and youth sport.
His work primarily focuses on developing strength and power in the gym, along with speed, change of direction, and conditioning on the field.
He regularly works with sporting injuries including soft-tissue strains, tendinopathies, ACL rehab, as well as chronic conditions such as lower-back pain, osteoporosis, hip and knee replacements.
His approach emphasises quality over quantity, so you know the training performed under Jason's guidance has an impact.
HI programs are built specifically around individual goals and time availability, ensuring they are realistic, targeted, and can be executed to a high standard.
Jason has a background in high-performance sport, having competed professionally as a squash player and reaching a career high men’s world ranking of #257.
Following three hip surgeries, he developed a strong interest in hip strength and change of direction, driven by experience and necessity.
Jason dislikes the claim that injuries held him back (like we all say!), but they did, and this gave him a strong appreciation for the role high-quality strength training plays on performance and long-term pain-free movement, which you can experience when working with Jason.
Outside the clinic, Jason is a Sports Scientist at the North Melbourne Football Club (AFLW) and High Performance Manager at the De La Salle Football Club (VAFA).
Outside of work, he enjoys a good coffee and trying to make good food.
