Jacob coaches from the Essendon clinic
Jacob is a strength and conditioning coach with diverse experience across a wide range of clientele and sporting environments.
He has worked with professional and semi-professional AFL athletes at the Western Bulldogs Football Club and Essendon Football Club, amateur and junior footballers across the VAFA and EDFL, national-level junior swimmers, and everyday individuals looking to improve their health and performance.
This broad exposure has allowed him to develop an adaptable coaching approach that can be tailored to athletes at all stages of development and experience, so you know you're seeing an experienced practitioner.
His approach emphasises quality over quantity, so you know the training performed under Jason's guidance has an impact on what you want to achieve.
His programs are built specifically around individual goals and time availability, ensuring they are realistic, targeted, and can be executed to a high standard.
Jacob has a strong passion for working with youth and amateur athletes involved in field sports, helping them build the physical qualities that support both performance and long-term athletic development.
He believes that developing movement competency, strength, power and resilience early in an athlete’s journey creates a foundation for sustainable progress and reduces the risk of injury.
Whether working with a developing junior athlete striving to reach the next level or an amateur competitor balancing sport with work and life commitments, he focuses on delivering structured, practical training that meets the demands of the individual.

He sees his work in the gym as more than simply improving physical outputs; it is a space to enhance movement capacity, build confidence and create lasting habits that support both sporting performance and overall quality of life. Jacob has also consistently worked with end-stage rehabilitation for musculoskeletal and soft tissue injuries across both athletic and general populations.
He has experience helping individuals transition from rehabilitation back into full training and performance environments, focusing on rebuilding strength, restoring function and preparing them for the demands of their sport or everyday life.
His coaching philosophy revolves around creating an adaptable process that aligns with each person’s goals, circumstances and training history.
Jacob values building strong relationships with clients and believes that effective coaching combines evidence-based practice with an understanding of the individual, creating a process that is challenging, sustainable and enjoyable.
