Dr Samantha May is a sports and exercise medicine registrar and consults onsite at Melbourne Sports Physiotherapy's Essendon clinic, located within Essendon Sports Medicine.
Samantha has a strong passion for treating all musculoskeletal injuries and illnesses, whether you have an injury or issue that is recreational, elite, or work related.
Samantha completed her Bachelor of Medicine, Surgery and Advanced Medical Science at The University of Melbourne in 2013.
Samantha has had many successful sports club placements, and is currently working with, or has worked with:

Essendon Football Club AFLW
Western Bulldogs AFLW
Medical Advisor to AFLW and State League Umpires
Cricket Australia Women’s A squad
Athletics doctor during the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games in 2018.
As part of the clinical services in this practice, Samantha is trained to make the appropriate diagnosis, and just as importantly, detect the causes or risk factors that lead to the development of the condition, to minimise the risk of recurrence.
Sam is able to assist you with all the appropriate investigations from blood tests to ECG’s, and x-rays to complex imaging, including rebatable MRI scans.
