Liam Robinson attends 2017 U20 Rugby World Cup
May 2017 - Melbourne Sports Physiotherapy’s very own Liam Robinson has headed off to his 4th u20s World Rugby Championships last week, as he leads the physiotherapy team for the Georgian u20s Squad at this year’s competition. The competition is being hosted by Georgia this year, with Liam making the capital, Tbilisi, his home over the next 5 weeks.
Precariously placed in Group C, the Georgians will have to play in the so called ‘group of death’, facing Argentina, South Africa and France, in a bid to maintain their status in the top division of u20s World Rugby.
Joining up with the squad 2 weeks prior to competition, Liam has put in place the structure for medial support throughout this year’s competition and will provide both on pitch physiotherapy, together with pre and post-game management in terms of assessment, treatment, recovery principals and rehabilitation – skills which Liam both does here in Melbourne during the Super Rugby season and when practicing in clinic.
We wish Liam and the Georgians all the best of luck!
Liam will be back consulting in clinic from Wednesday 22nd June and is available for bookings now.
