Congratulations to Liam Robinson and Georgian U20's Rugby Team
25th May 2015 - Huge congratulations to Liam Robinson, Sports Physiotherapist at Melbourne Sports Physiotherapy, who was head physiotherapist for the Georgian Rugby under 20's team who have just won the World Rugby U20 Trophy for first time in Lisbon, Portugal on Sunday. Georgia had a convincing win over Canada, with the scoreboard reading 49-24 at the final whistle. Georgia have now earnt the Junior Lelos promotion into the U20 Championship in 2016.
Liam is absolutely rapt in the outcome, with the players keeping him busy with a grade 3 ACJ sprain and a grade 2 lateral collateral knee ligament injury, just to name a few. He also had plenty of neural hamstring strains, due to inadequate lumbar-pelvic stability and poor hamstring rehabilitation in the past. Liam has set the boys up on individual rehabilitation programs, as he is on his way back to Melbourne to resume clinic work.
When Liam is not on international rugby tours, he consults Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays in Essendon and also works with the Melbourne Rebels U20's rugby academy.
